The "National and Local Co-built Embodied Artificial Intelligence Robotics Innovation Center" represents a major strategic move to consolidate resources and drive the robotics industry forward. Headquartered in Beijing, this center is the first of its kind in China to focus on the core technology development and ecological construction of embodied intelligent robots. It is backed by industry giants including UBTECH, Xiaomi Robotics, and Beijing Jingcheng Machinery & Electronics.
The Center’s mission is ambitious: to collaboratively overcome key common technical challenges that no single entity can solve alone. It acts as an "Industry Resource Organizer" and "Industry Development Cultivator," undertaking major national strategic tasks and fostering industrial incubation. With a team where 80% of members hold Master's or Doctoral degrees and average just 32 years of age, the Center is a hub of youthful, high-level innovation.
Strategically, the Center focuses on the "Walker E" as a universal mother platform to lead innovative development. It is also heavily involved in setting standards, participating in the formulation of international and national standards to ensure industry consistency and quality. By integrating resources to drive breakthroughs in embodied intelligence, the Center is positioning itself as a world-leading platform that empowers the entire industrial chain, from manufacturing to smart healthcare
